Swingers Dictionary
What is ECC/HRC?
ECC/HRC stands for East Coast Couples/Hampton Roads Couples. Better know
as ECC/HRC, we are dedicated to lifestyle individuals. We are a swingers
group catering to all like-minded couples interested in exploring consensual,
recreational sexual activity.
return
What can I expect at this event?
FIRST and foremost expect to be SAFE and SECURE. From the moment you
arrive, coordinators will be there to help. Help make sure your hotel
registration goes well, and to give you your all access passes to all
of the events. Expect to have fun expect to meet some wonderful
people, perhaps learn a few ways to spice up your relationship, meet
like-minded individuals, dance, flirt, and be outrageous. Also
expect to be able to be yourself. At ECC/HRC NO means NO and you don't
have to talk to everyone. Just remember that the alternative
lifestyle isn't a place for rude people either.
return
What will I see?
You will see people who look as nervous as you are. You will see
couples and individuals laughing, hugging, kissing just like when
family or friends get together. You will find folks both shy and
outgoing but all with a true interest in alternative lifestyles.
return
Who will be there? Who attends these events?
The group generally consists of a wide encompassing group of people
who are open-minded and like to have fun. Generally the attendees are
between the ages of 21 and 60.
return
How old do you have to be to attend?
At all ECC/HRC functions you need to be 21 or older.
return
What types of people attend?
An easy answer to that would be. What type of people go shopping?
If they go out of their house at all then someone of that type comes
to an ECC/HRC event. We have people that are overweight and skinny,
couples that are interracial and not, and caucasian and non-caucasian
members. In other words EVERYONE IS WELCOME provided you are over 21
years of age. This is an Equal Opportunity Lifestyle Organization.
return
What is your definition of a couple?
ECC/HRC Bylaws define a couple as one male and a female.
return
Do I have to be married?
No, you do not have to be married but you must be in a committed
relationship. There is a maximum of three ECC/HRC memberships per person
per lifetime. This eliminates the issue of someone bringing a
different partner or "unsuspecting date" every month.
return
I am single; does this mean I can't attend an event?
By a majority vote of our membership ECC/HRC welcomes select single
guests, both male and female. You must of course be over 21, be open
minded and interested in the lifestyle. You must have a personal
interview with ECC/HRC Staff. No walk in single guests are permitted-all
must have prior Staff approval.
return
Do I have to participate in what ever is going on?
NO the socials are designed to give you the opportunity to be
involved in as little or as much as you like. You can go at your own
pace.
What is the overall plan for an ECC/HRC event?
We plan on having a good time, to inform and inspire. To help people
learn to play safely, learn new techniques, and meet like-minded
individuals in an environment both safe and secure.
return
What about security?
We have our own security guards. They are here to ensure we are safe
and secure and that everyone respects the physical boundaries of this
event. The guards make sure NO ONE without an identification pass
will be allowed in any event, demonstration or party, or on any of
the secured floor's without their event pass. No exceptions. A room
key will not be accepted as proof of attendance for admission to
secured areas.
return
What is the anticipated attendance? How many people (couples)) attend?
We have booked ample space for everyone. We have decided to limit our
events to one secured party floor and a maximum of 85 couples.
return
Is nudity allowed?
No, not in the common areas. We do allow nudity/semi nudity in all
secured areas of the hotel.
return
Can I be assured of discretion?
Yes, all attendees, vendors, presenters and coordinators have signed
a confidentiality statement and attendance waiver. If you run into
anyone you know at our event they are there for the same reasons as
you are. All of our records and mailing lists are kept confidential.
return
What should I wear?
Where whatever makes you feel good, sexy, silly, casual. The choice
is yours. ECC/HRC does sponsor many theme socials throughout the year;
you are NEVER required to dress a theme. We use the themes as an
icebreakers and for our members to have fun with. The important thing
about dress is that you must be in street legal attire in all NON-SECURE areas.
return
What should I do if someone makes an offer and I am not interested?
Just say no thanks, no explanation is required. Don't say things
like "see me later" if you do not want to be asked by that person
again. Just say no thanks. Remember NO means NO and No THANKS means
NO THANKS. Anything else you say means ask me again later. ONE thing
to remember is everyone is here to have fun. So just because someone
asks you more then once doesn't make them a bad person. If you
really don't want to be asked or bothered by someone just be polite
and honest with them.
return
What if a person won't take no for an answer?
If you get asked more then once then take that as a compliment.
Although if the person is too persistent or pushy, more often than
not, when other members hear you say no and see the person is not
respecting your decision they intervene and get staff or security if
needed. The Staff is here to ensure everyone follows the rules.
return
How do I approach someone I am interested in?
First see the question above this one. Other than that, be yourself
and be natural. It isn't any different than asking someone to go on
a date. Ok so it gets you all nervous It should it gets all of us
nervous Just be yourself and don't rush or push things. Remember we
are all here for different things so get to know the person a little
first. Remember how you flirted in High School. Well do some
flirting.
return
Is alcohol allowed?
Yes, all ECC/HRC events are BYOB. There is no place to buy alcohol
inside the hotel
return
What about bisexuality?
As unfair as it may seem in a lifestyle such as ours, female
bisexuality is not only open, but encouraged. Male bisexuality
although we know it does exist is generally kept behind closed doors.
return
What about safe sex?
Don't assume that everyone in the lifestyle uses condoms. Many do
not. ECC/HRC encourages everyone to practice safe sex. Sex is a great
activity but we have yet to meet anyone, male or female worth dying
for. The Surgeon General of the US has determined that the best
defense barring abstinence, is the use of latex condoms.
return
Where does ECC/HRC hold their socials?
Hotel information is sent with RSVP confirmation. The hotel is
located in Chester, VA. It has an indoor pool and jacuzzi. It is
quiet and secure with modern decor and an accommodating staff.
return
Is ECC/HRC a BDSM club with sex or a swing club?
We are a swing club. Several of our members do participate in the BDSM
and we do have a Dungeon at some of our events, but we are a swing club.
The Dungeon allows our guest to experience BDSM if they desire.
return
My partner isn't sure they want to attend ECC/HRC, how can I convince
them to attend ?
You can't, trying to force someone to participate in the lifestyle
tends to have a negative effect on the relationship. You should both
come because you both want to, not to appease the other. This is an
activity to do as a couple as an enhancement of your primary
relationship.
